It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

December 17th, 2007

Everywhere I look I see elements of the holiday season. I love it. I like pulling out my brooches for the season and adorning my house with glitter and powered sugar.

As my home fills with the twinkling sounds of Christmas music, I begin to stress about the enormous cost of this holiday. I need to remember to step back and be grateful for my wonderful life. I need to celebrate my strengths and the sweetness in my life. It is NOT about how much I can give, but the love that I give with each gift and kiss.

If the world was equal minded in the christmas spirit we would not have the mailbox to full of catalogs open and the commercial idea of christmas we have today. It is not how much the gift cost but the spirit and thought it was given that makes the difference.

All people should love and care about there families by spending the time on the holiday with them and see relatives that you hardly see. This year we didn’t go downstate because we were able to so i missed out being there with the other part of my family. It’s about spending time with your family not just about the gifts but family.

… and if they can recieve the sweater with the same love you knitted into it, then that is better then most any toy you could have otherwise got them.

PS Just to let you know, love falls real easy out of sweaters. Bubblewrap does a good job of catching it. ;)
